Meet Lisa Mathers, CPSP

Passion and Experience

Lisa’s journey as a Speech Pathologist is driven by her love for the profession. With 20 years of clinical practice, she is known for her patience, caring nature, and unique talent for keeping children engaged during therapy. Lisa’s approach is not just about addressing communication challenges but is also about creating a positive and supportive environment for her clients.

Background

Born in England, Lisa’s childhood was enriched by living in various countries. This international experience has given her a broad perspective and deep appreciation for different cultures. In 2004, she graduated with a degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. In 2008, she moved to Adelaide with her Australian husband.

Lisa is also a devoted mother of two high school-aged children. She balances her career with family life, wearing many hats – home chef, taxi driver, household organiser and gym-goer. Despite her busy schedule, Lisa finds joy in moments of relaxation, reading, socialising with family and friends and watching her children play sport!

About Lucy Leane, CPSP

Experience and Education

Lucy has been practicing Speech Pathology since 2004 after graduating from the University of Queensland, Brisbane. She has worked in hospitals, state and private schools and disability services across rural and metropolitan areas of Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia, as both a sole therapist and in multi-disciplinary teams. Her varied employment history has allowed her to gain knowledge and therapeutic skills required for many areas of paediatric speech pathology, and general child development. Outside of work, Lucy likes to spend time with her two children, mountain biking, hiking, going to the beach, and being creative.
