Appointment Cancellation Policy – Updated 12/12/2023

When a patient cancels, even with notice, their progress and our ability to help them is interrupted. Late cancellations are disruptive to our workflow because we plan our working day around your scheduled appointments. Late cancellations cannot always be filled by another patient.

Cancelling an appointment

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment with us, please provide us with at least 24 hours notice before your appointment time. You may contact us via telephone 8272 2862, email, website or reply to your SMS reminder.  

If an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, you may be required to pay the full appointment fee. If an appointment is missed and no notification is given to Sure Start Health, you will be required to pay the full fee for the appointment. 

It is important to note that insurance companies and Medicare do not provide reimbursements for missed or late-cancelled sessions.

Email confirmations and SMS reminders

Email confirmations, containing your appointment date and time, are automatically sent to your inbox shortly after each appointment is made on our system. If you are not receiving these please contact us without delay.

SMS appointment reminders are sent as a courtesy. They are not a substitute for remembering your scheduled appointments.

Please note that SMS reminders will now be sent out 2 days before the appointment date.
